Our Mission
BEAR-WITH-US is a program consisting of a group of volunteers in the Mammoth Lakes area with dedication to steward our bears and wildlife in returning to and surviving in the wild. Our priority is to have every resident, business owner, visitor, Town, County, State and Forest Service agency work together to keep our wildlife away from humans, our food and our trash, and develop a desire to live their lives and raise their offspring in the wild eating natural resources. more

The only way to help bears from becoming “PROBLEM BEARS” is by adjusting our human behavior. We all have to do our part to eliminate the available of human food sources. Please try your best in your homes by paying attention to your windows, doors and especially your TRASH, and remember to lock your car doors at all times. The LITERATURE available on this website will give you more pointers.
